CONES

Paper cones are so easy to make and they can really brighten up the day.  Just a small piece of paper twisted into a cone and stuck with Pritt Stick.

Vintage card cones come in all sorts of shades and patterns and a basket full of vintage card cones of confetti can be really effective.  You can match the theme of your special day or just be brave and have an assortment of colours

Vintage card here shown with just simple ivory petals - perfect to brighten up single colour confetti

Pale blue card filled with Cadbury blue petals - making a colourful bold statement

Simple handmade lokta paper cones - these are my favourite.

Amethyst petals

Well last years crops seemed to have produced an abundance of pale blue petals.  Their gorgeous colour has a tinge of amethyst and as a result we have lots of offers on these gorgeous little gems.  For great ideas please visit our website or Facebook page.

Large basket of natural petal confetti

These lovely large shoppers are ideal for 50 cones of natural petal confetti.  The cones are made from handmade Lokta paper - made in India - and of course the petals are all hand picked and air dried to produce beautiful biodegradable natural petal confetti.

This basket can be held by a bridesmaid and the cones can be picked out by guests or it can just simply be placed on a table for guests to help themselves.  Please take a look at our website or Facebook page for inspiration.

Chutney and Lavender favours

A very good friend of mine recently made all the favours for her daughter's wedding and I just thought I would share these with you.  Delicate little lavender bags for the female guests, all hand sewn together and stuffed with French blue lavender.  The names of the happy couple attached to one corner in the form of the old fashioned school name tags - such a brilliant idea.

And for the chaps - a small jar of homemade chutney finished off with rustic brown paper and string and simply labelled. Perfect!

Tied with  delicate pink ribbon and tiny rosebuds these little lavender bags smell gorgeous!

These little favours are time consuming of course but can be made way before the big day and how satisfying to see these lovely homemade gifts sitting on the decorated tables.

Cadbury Blue and Yellow

I had a phone call from a bride to be who was enquiring about purple and yellow natural confetti.  These are two colours I had not put together before but when I thought about it, the Cadbury Blue delphinium and the Yellow marigold seemed to be a perfect combination.  I put them together and this is what I came up with - stunning bold combination of petals and colours.  I sent some samples in the post to the bride to be straight away!

If you would like any samples sent to you of this confetti or any other confetti, please do not hesitate to email me and I will send some off to you in an envelope straight away.

Planting those seeds

Christmas has come and gone, New Years celebrations all over and my Christmas decorations are down and stored away for another year.. I now turn my mind towards planting the seeds for this years crop of larkspur for our confetti.  This year I have tried something new, by planting some seeds last September I am hoping to have some early crops around June, followed by another crop in August from the seeds to be planted this March.  I really hope it works as the picking and drying can be spread across the summer months rather than the mad harvest in August!  I just can't wait to start rotivating!
