So what does Confetti mean?
In English.......
Small bits of paper, usually coloured, thrown or dropped from a height to
enhance the fun of a festive event, such as a wedding or even a New
Year's Eve party.
In Italian........
"Confetti" is sugar coated almonds and usually
given out at
weddings, often wrapped in a small organza bag and used
as favours for the guests. The little bags of sweets are
said to represent the hope
that the new couple will have a fertile
marriage.
The Natural Confetti Company make fabulous biodegradable dried confetti
from real flower petals and can be bought online all year round.

The Corn Barn
We supplied the confetti this weekend for the lovely Lisa who was married in a church in Teignmouth Devon. She chose a mixture of red and ivory rose petals and blue and raspberry delphinium petals. The reception followed in this beautiful barn in stunning rolling hills of mid Devon near Cullompton. A full wedding service can also be provided here in the gorgeous Corn Barn.

A sneak peak into this fantastic REAL halloween wedding, photos courtesy of www.essentialimages.co.uk
Who would dare to get married on the scariest day of the year! This couple clearly did and look at this lovely dress. Glad to see they didnt forget the all important confetti!!I wonder if they flew off on a broomstick to a suitably haunted honeymoon location????

Buckets and Baskets
Lovely little rustic baskets with organza bags filled with ivory and raspberry delphinium petals. Lovely for bridesmaids to hand out after the ceremony or why not have a vintage pail with a blackboard area to chalk the name of the bride and groom. Great for a rural wedding .....

Natural confetti in jute bags.
These cheeky little girls look as though they are up to something clutching this pretty pink jute bag full of organza pouches of natural confetti. The bag of confetti had been beautifully put together by the photographer at www.essentialimages.co.uk for the guests at a wedding in a few days time.
OOPS! Perhaps the confetti throw is a little premature. Cheeky little monkeys. Thank goodness The Natural Confetti Company are able to provide some more lovely petal confetti!!

Natural Petal Confetti
There was a window of opportunity when the sun was shining and we decided to eat outside. I quickly got my secateurs and cut some of the lovely delphiniums that we use for natural petal confetti to put on the garden table. These gorgeous little stems in pale blue, pink and raspberry, just some of the colours available in natural confetti available on our website http://www.naturalconfetti.co.uk/.

Bespoke Confetti
We put this gorgeous basket of confetti together for a wedding today in Virginia Water. Pale green cones made from gorgeous paper that we sourced from France. The cones are filled with ivory delphiniums. The mother of the bride bought this basket and filled it with 50 of the little cones, decorated the handle with gorgeous ribbon and here is the result. Just beautiful bespoke confetti! We are hoping and praying that the weather stayed fine today for the lovely bride and we look forward to some fab pics. With the brides permission we shall be publishing the photos really soon!

Keeping the staff occupied
A very important job has to be done after all the flowers have been picked! The beds need to be weeded and rotivated and cleared for the following year. Here is my husband doing his duty so that he will be able to do this when the flowers grow once again!
How could we produce gorgeous natural petal confetti without the help of good staff!

Whitewashed wooden trugs
Little whitewashed wooden trugs, perfect for the tiniest or the tallest of bridesmaids. These trugs will hold 2 pints of confetti without overflowing - dont want to lose any over the sides when hands are tucking in ready for the confetti throw moment.

The Vintage Wedding
With the latest trends heading towards vintage style weddings, I per chance stumbled on this lovely vintage paper to make pretty cones for our natural confetti. It is such lovely paper to work with and designs on either side of the paper are varied and in fabulous pastel colours. The pattern on the inside of the cone is different to the outside but the colour shades are the same - very subtle.
We are thrilled with these stunning confetti cones. And any pastel shade of petal looks great with them.
