Simply gorgeous wedding

Natural shades of green and cream theme created a simply gorgeous wedding.  The bouquet complimented the table settings, the cake and the confetti.  The beautiful cake was made by the bride's mother, including the floral decorations. Such a clever lady! The bride chose pale green cones and ivory natural confetti.

Natural confetti harvest

It has been a brilliant year for our larkspur here at The Natural Confetti Company in Culmstock, thanks to the great weather we have been experiencing.  I have even got hubby picking petals for me!

Rose petals

Oh my goodness, this is some weather we are having and the roses in our gardens are just stunning and abundant right now. It is just the perfect time to choose real rose petal confetti for a wedding. We can offer fresh rose petals delivered directly to the venue, 20 or 25 mile radius from EX15 3HW, or beautiful freeze dried rose petals sent to you. Contact Julie for mor info. Our fresh rose petals are grown locally and the freeze dried rose petals come from Europe. Rose petals are quite large for throwing from confetti cones, although not impossible, but are more suited to being loose in baskets or pails.

Trip to Turkey for bougainvillea

Sitting on a plane on my way to Turkey to join family out there. They are lucky enough to have a villa there in the hills that is literally surrounded by pink, yellow, orange and white bougainvillea wild flowers. The petals dry quickly out in the sun and we are able to send them home. Bougainvillea make lovely floaty confetti petals. When thrown up they float down like fairies. They look lovely just loose in baskets as they are not really suitable for cones and small organza bags as the petals are very large, similar size to larger rose petals.

Favourite colours for 2013

These two simple colours, raspberry and ivory, certainly seem to be the favourite for 2013!
A mixture of raspberry delphinium petals and ivory delphinium petals in mulberry paper cones, or simply loose in a pretty little basket.

Baskets

I very often get asked for larger baskets to hold loose natural petal confetti so that guests can grab a handful in readiness for the confetti throw. I always assume that mums of brides have baskets tucked away in a cupboard or hanging in a kitchen somewhere, as I do, so I tell the brides to ask mum. Clearly, I am not always correct and by public demand, I decided to source some lovely baskets pictured here in my garden in Culmstock. I am so thrilled with these baskets and have had some great comments since posting pictures of them on my site. Please do take a look at them on the  baskets page. They do require lots of confetti to fill them, but well worth it if there are lots of guests.
