Christmas has come and gone, New Years celebrations all over and my Christmas decorations are down and stored away for another year.. I now turn my mind towards planting the seeds for this years crop of larkspur for our confetti. This year I have tried something new, by planting some seeds last September I am hoping to have some early crops around June, followed by another crop in August from the seeds to be planted this March. I really hope it works as the picking and drying can be spread across the summer months rather than the mad harvest in August! I just can't wait to start rotivating!

Planting natural confetti
We made use of the first good day yesterday and commenced planting of this years crops for our natural confetti. We still have along way to go so hopefully the weather will hold for us. Dare I say that we will need a little rain very soon to water in the seeds! As we took a quick break and looked out at the views across our fields, we realised how lucky we are and just why we chose to live here!

Planting time coming up!
Planting time soon here in the Blackdowns! We will be ploughing up the field again in readiness for spring and planting of the new delphinium crop.
Please pray that we have a much drier summer this year to make the picking and drying much easier for us! Don't let this put you off ordering tho - we still have plenty of stock of natural biodegradeable petals for those imminent weddings! Visit our website and if you are local, come and see us at the Broadclyst Wedding Fayre on 18th March.
